Signal Digital: A Social Media Agency

October 8, 2008 in Social Media | by Oscar | No comments

Denmark just got its first Social Media agency. It’s called truth about enzyte Signal Digital and it’s actually been around since ‘95.

With Social Media as their new focal point they’re ready to point Danish businesses in the right web direction.

Pretty interesting and about time!

Stars: Set Yourself on Fire

With “Set Yourself on Fire” Canadian indie group Stars conquers my heart and playlist.

The gloomy and elegant album is a perfect companion for fall in Copenhagen.

Tristesse anno 2004. Brilliant.
The Paradox of Choice

Barry Schwartz: The Paradox of Choice: Why More is Less.

To hell with complexity and too many options - be good at few things and stick to the simple solutions. I’m working on a social media project and I have to remind myself constantly: “Don’t try to solve everything at once. Locate a core value. Sell, sell, sell. Evaluate the market response and take appropiate action if needed.”

Malcolm Gladwell: The Tipping Point

I haven’t been posting much lately. I’ve been buried in good books.

There is actually no better way to spend your summer - especially if it’s raining - than with a decent read on social epidemics and a healthy dose of “Wire in the Blood”.

I’ve been meaning to read The Tipping Point for at least a year or so. It’s been lying on my bed stand the whole time, but for some strange reason I’ve been putting it off.

Then two weeks ago or something I thougt to myself “To hell with it!” and so I just started reading. Boy am I glad, that I finally got around to it! It’s fascinating stuff, especially the chapter on stickiness and childrens television. There are plenty of good pointers to “snake” from, if you’re looking to boost your business without a big marketing budget.

The Tipping Point is well worth your time.

I’ve just purchased Blink by Gladwell, so I’ll fill you in on that one next year.

Any book tips from dear readers? I’m in the market for historical thrillers and books on consumer behaviorism. Any one??

This is the television I’ve been looking for!!!

I had the pleasure of watching this beauty in the local Sony Store - and it’s breathtaking. Everything about this telly rocks - even the tech geeks love it.

And the price is decent. Ohh I’m sooo much buying this in time for the Olympics.
Copenhagen Outdoor Life

I went out last weekend to a club. I felt like a fool spending the night inside, when I should’ve been outside enjoying the Copenhagen summer.

I’ve spent the last couple of days thinking about where I could’ve gone instead. Nothing really springs to mind now that A-Huset is closed. Docken is always a kind of a gamble as you never know if any one will be there.

I think I’ll go down to Blågårdsgade the next time. It has a certain vibrant feel to it and normally lots of people outside the bars.

You’ll find me and my closest at the top of the street wearing Levis Denim Jackets, Docksides and white shorts while sipping Pastis and smoking Mistral 100’s.

Good times.

Where will you be at?

Nochnoy Dozor

March 17, 2008 in movies | by Oscar | No comments

Nochnoy Dozor ( English title: Night Watch ) is a Russian science fiction movie from 2004.

It’s visually stunning, just as I like it. It’s scary as hell, which I don’t particularly enjoy since I’m home alone and easy to scare! It’s great entertainment and if you’re in the mood for a mixture of “La Cite d’Enfants Perdus” meets “The Matrix” meets “Blade” then you’re in for a treat.

Don’t watch it on your own - but do see it, if not only for the magnificent production value. Who’s says European cinema can’t compete with the Hollywood special effects experts!!!!
FC St. Pauli meets Nike

So much for being anti-establishment…!

FC St. Pauli teams up with Nike for this pair of dunks. Not exactly a partnership I would’ve thought of, but hey Nike wants to be hip I guess…??!?!?
